The Brick Project helps and supports people from the streets to independent living by providing homeless and disadvantaged people with a dedicated place where they can recover whilst helping them integrate back into the community. They not only provide a safe haven, but also have a food bank, provide training and activities, have a Community Warehouse and lots more.
We will be making a donation to The Brick Homeless Project for every property we sell or let therefore selling or letting your property with Rutter Green you will also help those vulnerable people get the support and sense of belonging they need and ultimately a place to live.
The Project offers activities including cooking on a budget, tenancy training. The chance to talk to a Councillor, a dedicated staff member or Volunteer. Food parcels are issued on a referral basis. They also hope to instil a sense of hope and create opportunities for learning, work and training with The Community Warehouse which will give people an opportunity to volunteer and have access to relevant, meaningful training.
They opened in July 2008 with the aim to help someone who finds themselves homeless into accommodation as soon as possible. ‘No Second Night Out’ is a new national policy focused on people who are new to the streets often through no fault of their own. They may have lost their job or a family member or are just having a hard time. You can contact them on 01942 236953 (09:00-17:00) or 03451128128 (24hours) if you know or suspect someone to be rough sleeping.
